Wood Products Manufacturer – Self Handling GL Claims
Old Republic was approached by a major wood products manufacturer. Because of
the unique nature of their claims, the client wanted to self handle their GL claims under a large deductible program without using a TPA. The incumbent carrier was uncomfortable allowing self handling.
Old Republic personnel met with the client to learn about their claims staff and experience in handling GL claims. The client clearly demonstrated to Old Republic their ability to handle and monitor claims under the proposed Old Republic GL policies. The client also understood the importance of reporting claims to Old Republic. The client chose Old Republic as their new insurance carrier not just for the GL, but also the AL and WC lines of business due to our ease of doing business and flexibility on self handling GL claims.
In the end, Old Republic put forth solutions to the client / broker and helped solve their claim handling issues. This is another example of how Old Republic listened to our clients and brought value to the table.
